Think ripe cherry, raspberry and cranberry, with bright acidity, soft tannins and a slightly savoury edge. The Riesling brings a little extra lift to the blend, keeping everything fresh, crunchy and very happy with a slight chill.\u003cspan class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchor\"\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eKindeli is the project of Alex Craighead, who makes wine in Upper Moutere at the top of New Zealand’s South Island. His wines are all about organic farming, spontaneous fermentation and a hands-off approach in the cellar, resulting in wines that tend to feel energetic, expressive and a little wild around the edges.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe fun part here is the blend. Pinot Noir and Merlot make plenty of sense in a red wine, but throwing Riesling into the mix is a little less conventional.
