A deeply expressive Cabernet Franc from Niagara, Ontario. Dark cherry, blackberry and plum meet violets, black pepper and savoury herbs, with an earthy, mineral edge underneath. It’s medium-bodied and dry, with fresh acidity and structured tannins giving it plenty of backbone without ever feeling heavy.

Pearl Morissette farms in Niagara’s Twenty Mile Bench, where the cool climate is particularly well suited to Cabernet Franc. Furie is fermented spontaneously and spends an extended period on its skins before aging in large, older oak. The approach builds texture and structure without burying the fruit under new oak.

Cabernet Franc has become one of Ontario’s standout red grapes for good reason. Niagara’s cooler growing conditions help preserve the grape’s natural acidity and bring out the floral, peppery and herbal character that can get lost in warmer climates.
