A dry, textured Riesling from the Beamsville Bench with lemon and ripe citrus, orchard fruit and a distinctly salty, mineral finish. It’s medium-bodied with bright acidity, but extended lees aging gives it a roundness and depth that sets it apart from the lean, razor-sharp style of Riesling.

Rosewood makes Neptune entirely from estate-grown Riesling, harvested by hand and whole-cluster pressed before spontaneous fermentation in neutral French oak. It then spends 18 months resting on its lees and goes through full malolactic fermentation, building texture and complexity while keeping the wine completely dry.

The name Neptune is a nod to the Roman god of the sea and to the wine’s distinctly saline character. Rosewood considers this one built for the long haul too, suggesting it can safely cellar for up to 30 years.

Dry, salty and seriously textured. Riesling with a little more weight on its shoulders.
