A vibrant Barbera from Piedmont with ripe cherry, blackberry and plum, plus violets and a little spice. It’s medium-bodied and dry, with Barbera’s signature bright acidity, silky texture and relatively gentle tannins keeping everything fresh and extremely food friendly.

Tenuta Olim Bauda has deep roots in the Asti area, with the Bertolino family’s history in wine stretching back more than a century. The family purchased the Bauda estate in 1961, and Barbera has been one of the defining grapes of the winery ever since.

La Villa is made from 100% Barbera, harvested by hand and fermented in stainless steel. It stays in steel rather than going into oak, keeping the focus on the grape’s dark fruit, freshness and naturally lively acidity.

Barbera is a bit of a Piedmontese workhorse, historically poured at the table while Nebbiolo got all the attention. Juicy, bright and made for food. Give it pasta, pizza or basically anything involving tomatoes.
