A juicy, characterful Dolcetto from the hills of Dogliani in Piedmont. Pubblicano is 100% Dolcetto, with loads of dark cherry, blackberry and plum, a little spice, and that pleasantly grippy finish that makes Dolcetto so good with food.

Viberti is a historic Barolo producer, but the family has a long relationship with Dolcetto too. In 2019, they brought old vineyards in Dogliani's Valdibà area back into production, creating Pubblicano as a celebration of a grape that has been part of everyday drinking in Piedmont for generations.

Despite its name translating roughly to “little sweet one,” Dolcetto isn't actually sweet. The name likely refers to the grape itself rather than the finished wine, which is dry, fruity and just tannic enough to keep things interesting.

This is Piedmont without the Barolo price tag or the decade-long wait. Open it, pour it, eat something delicious.
